David Pearce Pulchra Jewellers Ltd
David Pearce is the inspiration, talent and craftsman of Pulchra jewellers.
Born in Harlow, London in 1958 his family moved throughout the country
until finally settling in Devon in the 1970's.
After gaining his degree at Plymouth College of Art & Design he decided this was the
career for him. From there he served a full 6year apprenticeship with a renown jeweller
in Exmouth Devon, learning what proved to be invaluable knowledge repairing and
manufacturing all aspects of jewellery and associated silver/gold wear.
When qualified he travelled to Australia to work and study, returning to Devon in 1987.
Moving to Cornwall in 1995 had a huge impact on his design outlook, discovering the
joy and freedom of this new found natural environment fitted perfectly with his
flowing organic designs.
So together with his partner Jane, Pulchra jewellers was launched in 2004.
The name Pulchra being Latin for Beautiful, a truly fitting name.
David enjoys a challenge so his commission work of one-of are a delight to see.

So now you will find him working from his small workshop overlooking the rugged
Cornish coastline. Using a variety of precious metals, Silver, gold or platinum,
left plain or combined with precious/semi precious gem stones he somehow manages
to bring together the beauty of the rolling and sometimes tempestuous ocean with
the peace and serenity of nature's heartland.
From tiny Silver shells to ornate gold necklaces, his range is ongoing.
